Founder, Business Manager

Sally Velazquez is a Tax Attorney/Business Manager and founder of Empower Business Management, Inc. Sally represents musicians, actors and other entertainers in the entertainment industry and is known for her expertise in tax and entity structuring. She has also been recognized as 2020-2024 Top Business Managers in Billboard Magazine, 2023Women in Music in Billboard Magazine,  2023, 2024 Variety’s Business Manager Elite, and 2021-2024 Trusted Advisor’s Future of Business Management.

Sally has over fifteen years’ experience in tax, accounting and business management and provides concierge services while overseeing bookkeeping, accounting, financial reporting, insurance, and investments for her client’s personal and financial affairs. She is involved in the tax planning of corporation and pass-through entity structuring, which requires tracking and analyzing international tax treaties and foreign tax law.

Sally received a bachelor’s degree in finance at Northeastern University and a Juris Doctorate degree and taxation certificate from DePaul University College of Law. She received her license to practice law in 2010. She’s on the board of Leading By Example Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing financial literacy education to inner city youth. She is also on the board of We Are R.I.S.E. Inc. and organization dedicated to empowering elementary to middle school aged girls of color through equipping them with social emotional and developmental skills they can use in their everyday lives.
